Throughout her MA, Lottie explored natural fibres and how their properties can be utilised. Her exploration included the use of natural dyes and seeing how a broad range of colours can be achieved by using only natural materials.
The idea of Lottie's project was to create durable timeless fabrics for interiors to allow people to appreciate craft and buy better/ more responsibly in the first place to ensure unnecessary consumption is avoided.
Lottie also looked at the idea of these fabrics being utilised as acoustic fabrics due to the natural fibres used making them a great source for sound absorption.
